Malcolm X: Hero to gays? (short)

Posted: June 7, 2005 in Uncategorized

“Gay activists want to claim Malcolm X as a hero – but some keepers of the black nationalist’s flame aren’t ready to hand him over.

Marking what would have been Malcolm’s 80th birthday, Peter Tatchell writes in London’s Guardian that “Now it is time to blow the whistle. Young black lesbians and gays need role models.”

Tatchell, who calls Malcolm a personal “inspiration,” cites the 1991 book “Malcolm: The Life of a Man Who Changed Black America,” which quotes a friend who claims Malcolm experimented sexually with men from childhood until he joined the Nation of Islam.” (more…)

I talk about this trend that I did in a posting some time ago.

Dealing with the devil: Black Americans and Modern Liberalism

Once again we have yet another case where modern Liberalism seeks to use “the black experience” as a way to justify its own existence.

So, what if he was gay.

    Big deal.

  2. Saudia says:

Darn right it is a big deal. This man is not around to defend himself? It amazes that because a person is dead people believe that they can say anything that they want about that person. Well you can’t. He has family, followers and a host of other people that hold him in high regard. People got all up in arms over the stuff said in the movie Barbershop about Dr King and Rosa Parks but its okay to insinuate that Malcolm was gay. NO I don’t think so. I hope that the family does something to get this book off the shelves.

  3. fig says:

so what the truth shoudl be told if hes gay then thats fine lets not make a big deal about it

  4. Saudia says:

It is a big deal because Islam has no room for homosexuality. Christians would be pissed if someone insinuated that Jesus was gay. Look at how mad they got when people said he was married
