You know, my day started out great. Drove my friend to the airport while listening to some Frankie Beverly and talking stuff. It’s Friday, the sun is shining, birds are singing and the grill was popping as I made some breakfast sausage. The 401k stuff was blow number one. This next story is blow number two.

DETROIT — Michigan’s Congressional delegation is urging the Treasury secretary and the Federal Reserve chairman to use their authority as part of the $700 billion bailout package to help more consumers obtain car loans, warning that the tightened credit markets were endangering millions of jobs.     I SMELL PORK!!!!!

    What about roads and bridges, MI? What good is it if the car, ink still fresh on the contract, hits a pothole and loses the axel? I totally reject the false logic of any sort regarding ‘necessity’ of cars en masse. It’s time to connect the dots of the big picture regarding climate change. Most cars burn CO2-producing gasoline and don’t get very far before needing a new infusion of juice. That’s called 20MPG. Great suggestion, MI. Really raising my confidence.
