Who Lowered The Bar For Powell?

For the folks out there who are into knowing the color of each cast member, Kos is a WHITE-owned website.

And of course Condi wasn’t spared.

This is what I wrote the other day

“Despite Powell’s awesome political record that is respected on both sides of the political spectrum, it is unfortunate that the effectiveness of a Powell endorsement for Obama will be minimal. Why? Because based on the narrative pushed by both the media and many Obama supporters, he is only doing what is expected of him–as a Black man.”

Some folks may have made some stink about this back then, but the post and images were still up as of this morning (a site that is both heavily linked and trafficked by many Black progressives). They reduced Powell to a racist caricature when he was under Bush (despite his many accomplishments) along with Whites. Now all of a sudden he has become soul brother #1.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

**Update**

For my red meat customers out there, here is the image put out by a local Republican chapter out here in California.

I sent them an e-mail letting them know of my disgust of this mess. Does this incident relate to the race litmus test based on who you vote for this election season? No. Is racism in any form ‘wrong’? Yes.
