It was very refreshing and inspirational to see your show. I love Patti Labelle’s show and her recipes, but seeing a nice looking brother turning up the heat is not too bad at all!!! I hope I get a chance to visit your restaurant and experience your cooking first hand.

  6. I am a mom trying to write G.Garvin about my 12 year old son, I have been searching the web to find an avenue to reach him and this is the closes I have come. To keep it brief, I am an old fashion women how beleived men were not to be in the kitchen nor any other house work or “women’s work” and kept my son out of the kitchen, however he was very interested in cooking and always wanted to help me, but I would not allow it. After seeing G. Garvin and with my son by my side, I realized I was very wrong to keep him from cooking and something he seems to love so very much. My son is in the 6th grade and graduating in June, he says he wants to grow up and be a football player and a chef. Now I tell him being a chef is a wonderful career and to follow his passions. I wanted to send him to cooking camp in our town, but we just can not afford it, but I thank God for your show. If we are blessed that this note finds you, maybe you could send my son an autograph or picture, we live in Bensalem, PA. By the way, I am a fabulous cook folks say and can make a gormet meal with a very little budget. I like that I can make your dishes without going broke. I am a singe mom working 2 jobs and love to feed my kids “real food”. My son pretends he is you on the show and evens tries to make gormet peanutbutter and jelly. Who knows he might be next….

We love you…Dotti and Lawrence Jr.
